This unpretentious brasserie is always packed, and with good reason: The food is delicious, it’s not all that expensive, and there’s great people-watching to boot. Relaxed but quite a few notches up from a simple café, this is a perfect place for lunch in the sunshine after shopping at the Places des Lices Market (or an extra-strong coffee and croissant in the morning, since it opens at 9 a.m.) Late night, it has more of a party atmosphere, and attracts a boisterous crowd.
